Scandinavian Knives
Scandinavia is not a country per se, but is a reference to a region. It includes Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and the Baltic Countries. Knives have played a very important part in the history of these far Northern reaches, with its cold and forbidding environment. The knives of these cultures evolved into very unique and distinctive styles.
Above is a Finish Puukko knife and matching bye knife. Blades forged from laminated wrought iron and high carbon steel. Sami style engrave antler, brass, and mesur birch handles.
